Derangement is the word, alright. I think it’s deranged to passionately support a morally bankrupt convicted felon and court-adjudicated rapist; to excuse his every crime, to justify any reprehensible act, to have one’s identity so intertwined with his that a critique of him feels like a personal attack. I think it’s deranged that there are people in our country who will defend Trump’s putrid filth toward Rob Reiner because they have long since tethered themselves to him and abandoned humanity in the process.
