#1 Gallaudet Campus Featured in Online Exhibit
Remember the Deaf President Now (DPN) protests in 1988? The impact is still felt to this day! Gallaudet campus recognized by the Cultural Landscape Foundation. Why? #2 Dr. McCaskill Receives Schuchman Deaf History Award
Dr. Carolyn D. McCaskill, Gallaudet alumni and former professor, was awarded the Dr. John S. and Betty J. Schuchman Deaf History Award. She is the third recipient of the award ever. The award is given every five years to people who make significant contributions to the field of Deaf history. Thank you, Dr. McCaskill, for your work over the years!
#3 Jean Berube Receives Education Award
The Association for Experiential Education selected Jean Berube, retired Gallaudet Professor, for an important speech at their annual conference. The Ewald and Hahn Address is given to an individual who has made significant contributions to experiential education, showing leadership and impact. Congratulations to Professor Berube!
#4 Research Excellence Award recipients share findings
In 2023, Gallaudet gave out three President and Provost Research Excellence Awards and funding. The winners have been hard at work! Read the article to learn more about the accomplishments of:

#5 Global Gallaudet Celebration showcases power of international learning
Gallaudet’s influence has made it the center of education and advocacy for deaf and hard of hearing people around the world. This year marked the inaugural Global Gallaudet Celebration (GGC), a four-day event to honor Gallaudet’s 160 years of global impact. 460 people attended the event!
