Vergence therapy is a brainspotting technique that relies on eye movements to reduce anxiety and other negative feelings. It works by stimulating the vagus nerve and activating the oculocardiac reflex.
Don’t be intimidated by the scientific-sounding name and jargon. Vergence therapy is actually very easy to do - and it works!
Watch to see Deaf Counseling Center’s Dr. Candace McCullough demonstrate how you can do vergence therapy.
