Legacy Continues: CODA Daughter, Genevieve Caldwell

In my previous video, I mentioned William A. Caldwell. Now, here is about his daughter, Genevieve, a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA) who continued his legacy in deaf education. Genevieve, along with William Whitehead, the first Black superintendent of the Virginia State School for Colored Deaf and Blind in Hampton, Virginia, dedicated their efforts to the education of Black deaf students for around 21 years.

This school later merged with the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind (VSDB) in Staunton, Virginia.
