A catfish isn’t just a scammer, but a scammer who invests time in starting a romantic relationship with you online, before tricking you into sending money to them.

The psychology behind the catfishing method is powerful.

Most people think they would never fall for catfishing, but surprisingly, it happens all the time and to people you wouldn’t think it could happen to.

A catfish relies on people’s emotional vulnerability, desire for connection, and need for validation and attention to hook them. Once someone is deep into a relationship with a catfish, they will ignore red flags and warnings from family and friends. #catfish #catfishing #scammers
