Every once in a while we run into someone who mistakenly believes that Deaf Counseling Center’s storytellers and our clients are one and the same. Clarification: this is NOT true. If you are a client, you are never expected to share your story on our social media; if you are a storyteller, you are never expected to become our client.

The disclaimer at the end of each video states that stories are on a purely voluntary basis.

Who are the storytellers? They might be:

    1.    Deaf community members who offered to share a story.
    2.    Deaf community members whom we invited to share a story after viewing their post or learning about their story somehow.
    3.    Deaf community members who just happen to be clients who want to share as part of their healing process.

If you’d like to share your story, please feel free to email us at Link . #storiesheal #shareyourstory
