The belief is that after John baptized Jesus, he became without sin and continued to obey the laws of God throughout his earthly ministry, which lasted for 70 weeks. He is seen as an example for all of us to follow, and we, too, can be pure and blameless if we walk in his footsteps and follow his teachings.
