15 Jesus eknew what the fPharisees wanted to do and He went away from that town. There were many people who gfollowed Jesus. He hhealed all the sick people. 16 But Jesus said they must not tell other people about Him. 17 Jesus said that because the iprophet Isaiah had jwritten: 18 ‘God says: This is my kServant. I lchose Him to do my work. I love Him, and He makes Me happy. I will give my mSpirit to Him and He will tell all the people what I want. 19 He will not nargue with people. He will not oshout. The people in the pstreets will not hear Him speak. 20 My qServant will not break off a broken rreed. He will not put out a slamp that has a small tflame. Yes, He will feel sorry for people who usuffer, and for people who are weak. He will do it vuntil I have done what I want to do. 21 All the wnations will xknow and will be sure that the yservant of the Lord will zsave them.
