Brandi Rarus:
Greetings from the Admission offices at world-renown Gallaudet University!

I’m Brandi Rarus, the Chief Communications & Admissions Officer at Gallaudet – and I’m thrilled to announce the launch of our Charge Ahead Dual Enrollment program, or “CADE” for short.

Here at GU, we recognize that some high school students are academically ready to start earning college credit before they step foot on campus. We also recognize that taking college courses in high school can be cost prohibitive for families, which is why Allison Gibbons and I are excited to tell you about our FREE Dual Enrollment program.

Allison Gibbons:
Thanks, Brandi.

Our Dual Enrollment option is live now! In this program, Gallaudet faculty members train experienced high school teachers to deliver Gallaudet coursework to students in their current high school building. No travel necessary!

As of now, we’ve trained high school teachers in the following courses:

Art 160 – Design I
Art 170 – Introduction to Drawing
Gov 110 – American Government
ITS 202 – Computer Hardware Essentials
ITS 203 – Operating Systems Essentials
Math 101 – Introductory Mathematical Applications
PSY 101 – Introduction to Psychology

I’d like to personally thank Model Secondary School for the Deaf, Indiana School for the Deaf, Tennessee Schools for the Deaf, and California School for the Deaf – Fremont for your early adoption of this program.

Our lists of courses and partner high schools are growing each month – so if you’re interested in bringing Concurrent Enrollment to your students, please scan the QR code on the screen and fill out our contact form. I look forward to forming a relationship with you and your colleagues!

In the meantime, enjoy browsing our CADE website and stay apprised of our future plans to grow on-campus and online Dual Enrollment courses.

Now is the time to Charge Ahead!
