t Scripture teaches the reality of a place of conscious, eternal torment away from the presence of God called variously, hell, eternal punishment, eternal fire, outer darkness, the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth, etc. It is as real and as eternal as the place called Heaven. In Matthew 25:31–46, we have from the lips of Jesus His sobering declaration that this place of eternal punishment (hell) is just as real as eternal life
