One of those times, is the season for planting or harvesting. God is very clear that the principle will always apply, He established it in Genesis and repeats it in Galatians 6:7-8: “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” (1) Don’t deceive yourself. The Bible often warns against the problem of self-deception. Through our pride, self-reliance, or the deceptive devices of the devil, we can be deluded into thinking we can sow one kind of seed, but produce a different fruit. Both the law of nature and the law of God warn us against such a foolish notion. (2) God is not deceived. God is not duped by our attempts to circumvent His laws. He sees. He knows. He understands our motives. And can look into the hidden recesses of our heart. God will not be mocked by our feeble plans to outwit Him.
