CHRIS: We’re excited to announce that we will be launching our newly revised Education Advocates training curriculum this September at NLTC!
SARAH: Hi! I’m Sarah, the NAD Education Policy Specialist.
CHRIS: Hello! I’m Chris, the NAD Education Policy Counsel. The EA training is free for NLTC participants! Are you passionate about education advocacy? Do you believe that all Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, and Hard of Hearing children should have high quality education? Are you interested in working with your state association of the deaf and the NAD? If so, this is a great opportunity for you!
SARAH: We’re looking for at least one person from each state association and affiliate organization to join our training at NLTC to become an Education Advocate. Through this training, you will attend workshops to become familiar with special education and disability rights laws, state and local education systems, early intervention systems, and more. You’d also have an opportunity to attend other workshops. You’ll join a group of people who will preserve and protect deaf education! When you register for NLTC, check the EA training box so we know you’re coming. If you have questions about the EA training, contact Link . If you have general questions about NLTC, email Link .
