[VIDEO DESC & TRANSCRIPT: Baba and Mama look towards camera and look excited, in front of metal doors slightly open.
BABA: Oooh! There’s a time capsule!
MAMA: Let’s go in!
BABA: How many years in the future should we go?
Mama thinks on it.
MAMA: Oh! How about five years?
BABA: Yesssss.
Mama grabs onto Baba and both enter through the metal doors.
[Five years later]
Baba and Mama are on the couch, Mama is flipping through a book while Baba is frustrated.
MAMA: Look, oh, so cute. Can’t believe so tiny five years ago! (notices Baba looking stressed). What’s wrong?
BABA: Peri is graduating kindergarten soon but the school won’t provide an interpreter for the ceremony.
MAMA: (sigh), don’t worry, I’ll email the school and send them the NAD’s advocacy letter for public and charter schools.
BABA: It’s simple, really. Why can’t they just follow our request?
MAMA: (sigh) hearing people.
[later]
Both are dressed up and sitting outside. Baba has a camera and waves hi while Mama is holding a roll of toilet paper.
BABA: Peri! Smile! (takes a photo)
MAMA: ILY! (begins to cry happy tears)
BABA: The advocacy letter really worked! We have interpreters here!
MAMA: I know right? (looks at Peri again) I can’t believe our kid is graduating!
BABA: Our baby is growing up!
Both cry, Mama unrolls the toilet paper to use as a tissue.
BABA: (realizes Mama is using toilet paper) Toilet paper?
Both hug and cry together.]
