There’s no doubt that landing in jail or prison can be stressful and upsetting. If you are Deaf and in jail or prison, there’s a very good chance that the experience will traumatic as well. Jails and prisons are notorious for flagrantly violating Deaf people’s rights to communication access. Andrew shares what he went through when in jail, with no access to communication with prison guards and fellow prisoners, and no access to
phone calls.
