Cochlear implants (CIs) are not always the “miracle” fix that the mainstream media, medical professionals, and oral proponents commonly advertise. It’s rare to watch or read stories about CIs that don’t work, CIs that cause health issues, or CIs that lead to negative experiences for their users. Andrea shares her story about how she came to get a CI and what happened afterwards.
