In honor of October, the National Disability Employment Month, William A. Caldwell proved worthy as a person who valued the deaf education especially for the Black deaf community.
William was one of the first Black deaf administrators across the nation. He began his career by private tutoring Charles and Dallas “Dale” Locklayer, two biracial deaf brothers in Alabama.
