I wanted to share that one of the Declaration of Independence Signers was a grandfather of America’s one of first deaf students with a formal deaf education.
George R. L. Turberville attended both Braidwood Institute for the Deaf and Dumb in Va. and American School for the Deaf in Ct., two deaf schools.
