Spotted Marion Harland Lane street sign in Powhatan, Virginia. Had to share that I remembered her writing briefly about a deaf man she met, St. George Randolph, nephew of “John Randolph of Roanoke” in Virginia.
Marion, a famous local writer, wrote in her autobiography (more of her reflections and journal-writing) in 1910.
Note: America’s first deaf school was in Virginia.
