Being the target of defamation is a very painful experience. Defamation happens when someone makes untrue statements about another person. They can be written or spoken or signed. Those false statements not only damage the person’s reputation, but also create serious mental and emotional pain and anguish. Dan, once a target of defamation, expresses the deep agony he experienced and the painful impact it has had on his family and him.
