Here are highlights of Team USA on the fifth day of the Brazil Summer Deaflympic Games. The women’s basketball and volleyball teams competed for the first time and the U.S. swimming team continued to haul in medals.

— U.S. loses to Turkey, 1-3
MEN’S CYCLING, ROAD CYCLING TIME TRIALS:
— John Klish, 6th place; Blake Herbold, 10th place; Rory Osbrink, 19th place.
MEN’S TENNIS:
— Christopher Daniels and Alfredo Galvez defeat Argentina, 6-2, 6-2 to advance to quarterfinals.
