Sometimes you'll be asked an inappropriate question during your interview, how do you decline to answer? Watch the video for Lori's suggestion!
[TRANSCRIPT & DESC: A screen recorded online event of four women on Zoom. They are Renate Rose, Tyese Wright, Gisella Tomita, and Lori Taylor.
Renate: If the interviewer asked inappropriate questions or you believe they shouldn't ask you those questions, how do you redirect the conversation or decline to answer?

Lori: It has happened to me personally where I was asked a question that related to my family. I was asked whether I have children. I was interviewing for a supervisor position, but they were asking about how I work around my schedule with my children. I didn’t explain to them that I had a family or anything but they knew who I was. So, it was kind of personal and I just kind of simply stated "Oh, that is a question that shouldn't be related to my family, it should be about me." So, they proceeded to the next question. But they shouldn't be asking personal questions since it's not related to my work experience.
