To volunteer or not to volunteer? Up to you - but we agree with Tyese that it's a great experience and it looks excellent on your resume!

Renate: Does volunteering count as work experience?

Tyese: I think it's important to have different volunteer experiences because it will help you find out what kind of jobs you'd like, or your motivation and passion. You gain skills, knowledge, and experiences - and your abilities too! There are different things that would make your resume looks good too. When you volunteer, it helps learn things about yourself and helps you realize what you are able to do. So yes, it definitely applies - it's a great experience.
