Angela: Hi!
Do you want to go to specialized workshops with signing experts?
That's what the NAD Leadership Training Conference (NLTC) can offer!
Sometimes at a conference, there’s so many other events happening at the same time
It can be overwhelming, because there are so many events to choose from.
However, at Virtual NLTC, you don't have to choose which workshops to attend.
We’ve planned this year’s Virtual NLTC to be more intimate,
allowing you to network with others and
apply tools to use after NLTC ends.
At NLTC, different tools and resources will be shared from amazing Deaf experts
who will discuss important topics that will benefit
your organization, State Association, agency, or in the community.
Workshop topics include (but aren't limited to):
(a blue text box with text in black: “org. finance management”)
organization financial management,
(a blue text box with text in black: “Understanding your community”)
effective outreach,
(a blue text box with text in black: “conflict resolution”)
enhancing conflict resolution skills,
(a blue text box with text in black: “Youth Recruitment”)
recruiting youth,
(a blue text box with text in black: “Self Care”)
self-care,
(a blue text box with text in black: “Bias and Privilege”)
understanding bias and privilege,
(a blue text box with text in black: “Communication Strategies”)
communication strategies,
and more.
With these resources and tools provided, you will be able
to apply what you learned in your community.
Whether you are involved in a State Association or a local, state, or national organization;
work in a government agency, or business corporation;
an independent self-employed individual,
work at a university or school?
That!
NLTC is for you!
Bottom line, after NLTC, you will:
enhance your leadership strategies,
gain a better understanding of different leadership styles,
network with other people and develop a support system,
and apply important tools and resources to your career, community, and yourself!
Honestly, there are endless reasons why you should come join the NLTC!
There are so many more reasons!
You’ll be inspired, get a renewed spirit
and passion for important work in our Deaf community.
Virtual NLTC happens during September 19-25th!
