Transcript: 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, a pregnant mother’s belly is growing, 6 months, 7 months, 8 months, and 9 months. A baby is born. The audiologist says, “not perfect.” The world has oppressed the Deaf baby already, “oh, your baby is Deaf, I am sorry!” Can’t speak. Can’t hear. Baby looks into the eyes, but they look away. Only me Deaf here. Alone. Everyone is hearing. Discussions: Hearing aid? Cochlear implant? Everyone is looking at the Deaf child now. Only 3 years old. Mother says no. Enough world. My Deaf child. I will sign. The baby will sign. At last. Signing! The world is clear now! Connecting with my Deaf child. Just perfect. Life changes? Yes. Challenges? Yes. Remember what? Love.
