MELMIRA I FEELING THE STIGMA OF COVID-19

Even though there are more people nowadays coming forward with their experiences of having had COVID-19, there are still many people in our community who do feel that having COVID-19 is seen as a stigma, based on their personal experiences or things that they struggle with during their times of having COVID-19.
I received SO many stories from you all which truly gave me a new perspective and am sharing some of them here.
Note: I promised confidentiality, so I have removed any identifying information and had other people sign out these stories in lieu of them. The stories you see are NOT their stories.
(Special thanks to Michelle Lapides, Katherine Lees, Karina Pedersen and Brooke Sipek for stepping in to translate these stories into ASL)
