What is the answer? There is no clear biblical answer to that. I believe we should study the scripture and church history for ourselves and follow the convictions of our own heart on Halloween. Here are questions that might help us to slow down and think carefully before we condemn one another.
Is it possible that our negativity toward Halloween only separates us from our neighbors who need to hear the Gospel? Should we run away from the darkness in fear or should we view Halloween as an opportunity to mock Satan whose power over us has been broken by the Lord Jesus Christ? Can we be in the world, but not of the world?
