Another blue/gray ribbon slides in with black text “MAIN IN / ABSENTEE / ALL-MAIL?” and disappears. Another blue/gray ribbon slides in with black text “STRAIGHT TICKET VOTING?” and disappears. White “STRAIGHT TICKET VOTING” and bright blue “?” appear on the screen then Kim appears.
KIM: When you go to vote, you will see groups of different positions such as President, Vice President, Attorney General, Governor, Senator, Representative, School Board and many more. They will state their national party affiliation -- Democrat with their name, Republican with their name, Independent with their name, and Liberterian with their name. You pick one from each group as you go. 6 states allow “straight ticket voting” -- where there is a button in the top corner labeled “vote straight Republicans” or “vote straight Democrats”. People have the option to make individual choices or to click the straight ticket voting button which lets all races be voted under that political party. This means you don’t have to think of who that person is regardless of their beliefs or what they support that fits with your needs. To proceed with this, take caution. Six states allow this, but most states are starting to forbid it. We prefer you to do your research and pick people that are the right fit to your needs.
