KIM: Elections are important each time because you are not only voting for the President and Vice President but you are also voting for state and local government officials who make decisions that impact you everyday such as how your town is being run, your tax money is spent, how your roads are taken care of, how your schools operate and how the justice system operates to name a few. When you vote, below the options for the President, Vice President, U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives - you will see candidates for Mayor, City Council, School Board, State Senator, State Representative, Attorney General, Governor, Lt. Governor, Auditor, County Supervisor, Judge, Clerk of Court, and Sheriff. All these positions affect your daily life, it is important that you vote for each position!
