CHANEL: Hello, it is with a heavy heart that we announce, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Camp Taloali has announced that they are closing their campgrounds to all rentals and activities, which impacts the NAD Youth Leadership Camp (YLC). This means we will not be able to host our annual Youth Leadership Camp session this summer. Instead, we will have not one but TWO camp sessions next year, in summer 2021.

The camp dates are:
Session 1 - June 22 - July 12, 2021
Session 2 - July 15 - August 4, 2021

All accepted applicants for YLC 2020 will automatically be accepted to 2021 Session 1. Session 1 will be limited to the accepted applicants and those on the waitlist. Applications for Session 2 will be open in the fall.

We had to shave off a few days from each session to fit two sessions into one summer. We wanted to make sure those who were supposed to go this year can still attend next year. We can guarantee that the YLC magic will remain the same for both sessions!

We also are considering and exploring different virtual ideas to do this summer even with no camp in session. We will definitely share updates when we have finalized our plans.

So, while we are disappointed we will not have our camp session this summer, we are excited and eager to have TWO camp sessions in 2021. Bookmark the YLC webpage for more information on Session 1 and applications for Session 2.

On a separate note, President Melissa shared that the Biennial NAD Conference will not take place this summer. This means that our youth programs: College Bowl, Youth Ambassador Program, and the Jr. NAD Pages will not happen in Chicago this summer.
