MELISSA: Hello, I'm thrilled to invite you to the 55th Biennial NAD Conference, which will happen on June 30 - July 5, 2020. Check out our ASL theme for the conference this year!

[Video cuts to black and white, a grey Chicago skyline is in the background. A young girl faces the camera as she signs "REFLECT," two red swoosh lines follow her hand movement, and a baby blue circle disappears as her hand reaches the end point. Next, she signs "EXPAND," a red swoosh circles between both hand movements, and a baby blue oval follow their movement and disappears. Video angle changes to showing the girl's profile. She signs, "ANTICIPATE," two red swoosh lines extend past her hand movement, a blue circle disappears at the same time. Last, she signs "VISION," a red outline of a cloud appears in front of her face as a blue circle disappears at the end of the movement. The girl drops below, out of frame. The Chicago skyline moves to the bottom of the frame as two baby blue lines swoosh in, red lines swoosh in to become stars, altogether displaying the Chicago city flag. Underneath the flag, a red line swooshes in to add the NAD logo in red, next to the flag. Then the four red stars morph into spelling out “#NAD2020.” At the end, everything disappears into a baby blue circle into the center as the background fades to white before Melissa appears in frame again.]

MELISSA: #NAD2020 will take place in Chicago, Illinois! I'll share what you can expect from the conference. Our NAD@Night events line-up begins with the Opening Ceremony on Wednesday (July 1st), College Bowl (CoBo) Finals on Thursday, Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) Finals on Friday, and ends with a great July 4th celebration on Saturday! #NAD2020 also includes many workshops with so many different topic areas including advocacy, legal and civil rights, technology, health, and much more! We also have two workshop partners -- the National Deaf Education Conference (NDEC) and Deaf In Government (DIG). DIG will select workshops about employment. NDEC will select workshops for the deaf education track. We will also have the Council of Representatives (COR) where delegates from different affiliates, States Associations, and membership sections will gather to discuss proposals for the NAD's 2020-2022 priorities. There will be an opportunity one morning for all NAD members to attend and discuss and share ideas on all proposals for the delegates to observe. Then during COR, the delegates will vote to select the top priorities for NAD to focus on for the next two years. Join us! See you there!
