DOMONIC: My recent summer was a very busy one! I traveled to different places. My first trip was to the Youth Leadership Camp (YLC) where I volunteered with serving meals, coordinating activities, and giving a presentation. Then, I went to National Black Deaf Advocates (NBDA) Conference where I gave a workshop about mentorship and the Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) -- we had a great discussion during that workshop. Afterwards, I went to the Pennsylvania Society for the Advancement of the Deaf (PSAD) Conference. I was the host of a game show - it was so much fun! It was also great meeting new and old faces. My next trip was to Arkansas where the National Leadership Training Conference (NLTC) took place. I had the opportunity to present with President Melissa Draganac-Hawk about the leadership and mentorship. We had a community-wide discussion which impacted many people. And, lastly, I went to the Jr. NAD National Conference at Rochester, New York. It was very cold- brr! I volunteered my time with the Jr. NAD Delegates, there was over 60 students who went! We discussed about Jr. NAD, leadership, my experience as a Youth Ambassador, and my mentorship program. Now, as for the updates with the MoiSigne mentorship program, we are seeking for mentees to apply to this program. If you know of anyone who is between 18 - 30 years old and would be interested in having a mentor, encourage them to apply for the MoiSigne program! Now, in closing, I would like to say happy holidays and happy new year. See you in 2020!
