As we have the Good News from God, we must understand the bad news first. The bad news is that we all have failed God miserably. None of us has ever obeyed His law perfectly as His holiness has required it. Jesus came to be a man here on earth and did the perfect obedience on behalf of those who have trusted Him. Many religious people think they must do their part in keeping God's law for salvation, but they have missed the point that Jesus did it ALL for us. Not only did Jesus obey in every day of His earthly life. He barred God's wrath for us. He bore it on Himself since He became a perfect sacrifice as our sins were imputed to Him. His righteousness was imputed to us sinners. There is nothing left for us to do except to thank God for Jesus and live for Him. What a glorious Gospel!
