A Little Bit of Deaf History: Thomas Bolling

Thomas Bolling is first known Deaf teacher in America. He had the same position as Laurent Clerc’s. He was a BSL teacher at Braidwood Institute for the Deaf near Petersburg, Virginia, 1815-1816. He also was at Bolling Hall 1812-1815 with John Braidwood, the superintendent/principal.
