St. George Tucker Randolph was the deaf nephew of “John Randolph of Roanoke” and deaf cousin of the Bollings. There were two different stories why he was sent to the mental hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, first location. He was later transferred to Baltimore, Maryland’s mental hospital.
