Learn more about the difference between NAD Youth Programs and NAD Youth Section.

VIDEO DESC & TRANSCRIPT: Claudia (NADYS) and Chanel (Youth Programs) are standing inside NAD Headquarters lobby. The NAD logo appears on bottom right corner as a watermark.

BOTH: Hello!

Chanel: You may have seen an exciting announcement recently.

Claudia: Yep! The Youth Strategy Team announced the addition of a Youth Section. This is a section under the NAD to increase advocacy, connection and thrive for peers between ages of 18 - 30. The goal is to increase our leadership and political involvement with the NAD’s support.

Chanel: Maybe you’ve already seen the NADYS Facebook page. We don’t want to confuse you. The NAD Youth Programs and NAD Youth Section serves separate purpose. The NAD Youth Programs focuses on students in high school and college involved with our four youth programs: Junior NAD, College Bowl, Youth Leadership Camp and Youth Ambassador Program. We will still continue sharing information about our programs.

Claudia: Between the Youth Program and the NAD, there has been a gap. The NADYS bridges the gap between Youth Programs and the NAD. The NADYS will be a way for youth to become involved with nation level leadership. It gives youth an opportunity to increase their leadership experience and contribute to the NAD and their own state associations in the future.

Chanel: For future events, we will work together because our main focus is our youth. For the NAD Youth Programs related information, please contact us via Facebook at the NAD Youth Programs or email us through the NAD's contact us page.

Claudia: Contact us via Facebook, National Association of the Deaf: Youth Section- NADYS, or email us at Link .

BOTH: See you at the NAD conference!
