ASL History Tour during #NAD2018

The Connecticut Association of the Deaf (CAD) has ASL history tours available during #NAD2018!

ALEXANDRA: So, the plan for the Deaf History tour includes visiting the Old State House, which has history about the signing and creation of the American School for the Deaf (ASD); the burial site for Laurent Clerc and his wife; and the nearby Asylum resting place to mark the passing of 25 children; Gallaudet's family plot; plus Alice Cogswell and her family's burial plot. You will also get to see the Alice Cogswell statue with her cupped hands. You will be able to see the locations of the first, second, and third site of ASD. Some of these buildings are long gone but there are plaques to appreciate its history. You can purchase tickets for $15 through Eventbrite online. Group tours will be on Tuesday, July 3rd, with no tours on Wed, July 4th, Thursday, July 5th, Friday, July 6th and Saturday morning, July 7th. Tours will be in the morning and afternoon.
