*follow asterisks for correction here* Fanwood! Or known as New York School for the Deaf in White Plains, NY. The second oldest running Deaf School in America. Here is where two of the late Presidents of the U. S. and the Declaration of Independence Signers’ Deaf grandsons attended. Their names were Thomas Jefferson Trist *my error- actually a great grandson* (after Thomas Jefferson) James Monroe Gouveneur (after James Monroe). Currently, this School no longer has a dormitory running. Only day students go here. #asl #deaf #deafstudies #deafhistory #deafcommunity #deafjourney #deaftalent #whyisign #history #ourdeafcommunity #ourdeafjourney #deafschool #fanwood200th
