About a Black Deaf boy named Harvey Prindle Peet originally from Cape Palmas, Liberia, West Africa. That boy was named after the New York School for the Deaf well-known superintendent, Harvey Prindle Peet.
He married Elizabeth Cooper in 1890. Also, he had a Deaf brother named Charles “Little Wia†Hoffman. Harvey attended both New York School for the Deaf at Fanwood and London’s Deaf School in Bath, London, England. #ASLRose #DeafHistory #DeafStudies #DeafEducation #ASL #BSL
