Honoring #blackhistory , #blackhistorymonth , and #blackdeafhistorymonth , Roger Demosthenes O’Kelly is my favorite to re-post. He was born same year as Helen Keller. He deserves the national wide attention as he was the first Black Deaf and Black Deaf-Blind lawyer in America. He graduated from Shaw University with first law degree and got 2nd law degree at Yale University. Before then, he attended North Carolina Deaf School (NCSD) and years later, he taught at NCSD. Remember him. #yale #yalealumni #shawuniversity #aslrose #ASL #deafhistory #deafstudies #DeafTalent #Deaf #deafblind #deafeducation #whyisign
