So excited to be here at the historic landmark “Red House Tavern” at intersection , route 727 and 615, Red House, #Virginia. Martin Hancock owned the tavern and over thousand acres. He had three Deaf sons who ran his farms and businesses along with other 6 siblings. Oldest, John, attended Cobbs first Deaf School in America while two other Deaf brothers, Martin Jr and Anthony attended Manchester and Cumberland Deaf Schools before they headed for American Deaf School in Conn. All signed BSL and ASL. #ASL #BSL #Deaf #DeafHistory #Deafcommunity #Deafstudies #Redhouse #virginia #deafeducation #deaftalent #ourdeafcommunity #DeafJourney #whyIsign #signlangiage #history #historymemes #deafhistorian #instagramistories #story
