Ronald M. Hirano, a deaf Nisei (Japanese-American), was adopted and raised by Delight Rice when his family was interned in relocation camps during World War II. He has written, designed and edited numerous newsletters and served on boards of organizations working with deaf people on local, regional and national levels.
Mr. Hirano currently lives in San Francisco.
