Hello everyone!
This is Chris Haulmark, running for US House of Representatives in Kansas's Third Congressional District.
Today, we will discuss about the candidates running for office right now in the upcoming election on November 7th.
The early voting period has begun from now to November 7th.
Okay, now how to research these candidates?
For example, for me being here in Kansas, in Johnson County.
So, what I’ll do is research online via Google’s search engine, yeah.
By typing in the search words: “Johnson County, Kansas Electionsâ€
Then after these are typed out on the website, the results will show a long list of candidates running for what positions.
And how you can vote.
And...hmm… some election regulations, too.
*thinking*
And you can simultaneously click on the “Sample Ballot†feature.
This way, you can review and know what your exact ballot looks like, while at home, or somewhere else, contemplating your voting decisions.
Then once you find out the candidate names, you can look them up online.
Some candidates have Facebook pages.
Some candidates have a website.
Some candidates may post their events.
If you’re a Deaf voter, and need to go to any political event around here, do notify our campaign!
We will help you set up access, ensuring they provide American Sign Language Interpreting Teams for us all.
Yes, indeed! That is our right under the ADA- Americans with Disabilities Act, mandating that the event MUST provide accessible communications for the Deaf community.
This is my Kansas ballot info, yet also applies across the entire country- you can do this same process.
You need to know your county name, and what state it’s located in.
You can google that information along with the word “elections.â€
Then you can find all the relevant information to research.
Google up the candidate names!
Read newspaper media articles on them.
Look on their Facebook posts.
Review what other citizens are talking about that candidate.
With that knowledge, you can decide if you wish to vote for them.
We still encourage you to GO VOTE!
If you’re uncertain about all the candidates, yet you found one whom you’d like to vote for, you can vote only for that single position, that’d be enough, leaving other positions blank.
Then your voting duty is done, and you can leave the polling site.
Got that?- Yes, you can do that! It’s allowed!
Chris Haulmark for our right and duty to vote!
