Hello all!

This is Chris Haulmark, running for US House of Representatives in Kansas’s Third Congressional District.

Lately, I’ve been contemplating and realize that I need to vlog to explain clearly for our viewers who watch.

A gentle question- Am I running for Congress solely because I’m Deaf?

No, not at all.

Am I running to get votes because I’m Deaf?

No, not at all.

Am I running ONLY to focus on Deaf-related issues?

No, not at all.

Be informed that I sincerely confess that I am TRULY running for Congress, because deep in my heart as is the right thing to do, feeling the deep need to get involved and take action FOR ALL American people, including Kansans of Third Congressional District here.

In fact, I hold a very unique position right now.

How so?

Because I represent those in the Third Congressional District and including the entire national Deaf community across our country.

This is an automatic representation because I use American Sign Language, and identify as a Deaf person. Get it?

So, in a way, this is incredible- two communities to address and represent, often going back and forth between them.

A gentle reminder that the only ones who can vote me into office are the Third Congressional District voters, while the entire national Deaf community watches on, in hopes that I will enter Congress and solve the general populace’s problems, yes.

So there is that, BUT there will be focus on many different issues unrelated to the Deaf community.

YES, I’m very knowledgeable on them, knowing how to work on solutions while also simultaneously facilitating discussion on issues with MANY people all across the Third Congressional District.

If you get involved, meet me face-to-face with the desire to challenge me, ask questions related to ANY issues, exercising that right is entirely your decision.

In fact, I would LOVE to discuss and demonstrate how I am able to work in Congress for YOU- the people.
