Chris Haulmark shares why NONE of the other Third Congressional District candidates are being inclusive at all! See why their talk is offensive, while his campaign is fully inclusive to all Americans!

Hello!
This is Chris Haulmark, running for US House of Representatives in Kansas’s Third Congressional District.
Today’s topic is about the word: “inclusive.â€
This is a big noticeable problem among other candidates, especially the Democrat party and their leadership, as they continue to use “inclusive†repeatedly, yet the question is: “Are they actually being inclusive?â€
I don’t think so!
Wow, it’s very offensive to many disability groups.
Yes, indeed.
Come to think of it, now that word, “inclusive,†really means including EVERYONE across our country.
That means including all WHILE broadcasting messages from the political leadership, or hosting inclusive events by being accessible to everyone- COMPLETELY accessible to us all.
Agreed?
Now, as we keep that in mind, y’know, as our campaign has created many vlogs from the very beginning, MANY people are not accustomed to the Deaf community being involved in those political events.
These non-American Sign Language users watch our videos and contemplate that captioning has been provided for including them in our campaign during the daily vlog messages.
Non-American Sign Language using people are able to watch and read the captions.
That’s how our campaign includes people who do not understand American Sign Language.
Okay…
Also our vlogs include transcripts, all pasted in the first comment of all social media postings.
For whom does this technique benefit?
Two types of viewers: the first being those who cannot watch a vlog because of circumstances such as either unreliable internet connections or inability to watch lengthy videos.
Those viewers often prefer to just quickly read the transcript.
This is the first viewer type.
The other group benefitting- THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT- A certain population that many people do not really think about, whom are part of America’s broadly diverse populace- DeafBlind people.
Yes, let’s think about that...
DeafBlind people ARE people, like us all, with the unique circumstance of having a loss of hearing and deterioration of vision.
Ok, let us consider the question, who are DeafBlind people?
Ok, let’s back up a moment…
First: What does the term “Blind†mean?
“Blind†is a term that applies to people who have some type of vision loss.
Some “blind†people can see fairly well, yet below the limit of what qualifies to be “BLIND†in the eyes of the government.
Got that?
Some people are completely BLIND, with absolutely no vision at all, unable to see anything.
That’s a consideration.
On the other hand, what does the word “deaf†mean?
It's similar, except pertaining to hearing loss, meaning there are some people who cannot hear well enough to use the standard telephone, yet can still speak and interact with others in a one-on-one conversation.
Or may be COMPLETELY DEAF with no residual hearing at all.
I’m one of those whom are COMPLETELY DEAF with no residual hearing at all.
If I was asleep, and someone screamed at me, that noise wouldn’t wake me up at all.
So, yeah, that’s how my deafness is.
Yet as we consider the DeafBlind, meaning those humans who are both Blind and Deaf…
Let us consider them…
How do the DeafBlind have access to the world?
Of course- (and I love this)- they have enabling technology, as well as SSPs: Support Service Providers, whom are people that assist the DeafBlind as guides.
For example, a DeafBlind going to the grocery store can accomplish this activity with SSPs guiding them, by helping describe what’s encountered, such as food selections.
Wait a minute!
How does the SSP describe this visual information?
Sign Language!
Yes indeed!
In fact, many DeafBlind people are trained with a Sign Language- Tactile Sign Language!
Tactile Sign Language means the (Deaf)Blind person’s hands would be hooked over hands of the SSP’s or another person, who knows Sign Language’s hands, and feel the signing hand motions.
Some of the DeafBlind can see well enough within their tunnel vision, being able to see in the center of vision, yet unable to see their peripheral visual area.
Some other DeafBlind cannot see well in dim light, or are unable to utilize night vision.
Got all that?
Those are just a few examples of many!
How are our campaign’s vlogs accessible for the DeafBlind?
The transcripts are there for reading along with the video, following along and being INCLUDED in this campaign.
