A brief study of mythology related to natural disasters. For thousands of years, many people did not understand the natural causes of the natural disasters so they invent many myths to explain. Today, we are fortunate to have modern science that can correctly explain the true causes of the natural disasters. Unfortunately, we still have many ignorant people who rely on their superstitious beliefs and interpreted the natural disasters as acts of God/punishment/judgment for the sinners.
As a Humanist, I believe that all of us ought to put aside our superstitious beliefs, myths, political ideologies and unite each other. When natural disaster strike, all humans ought to unite with each other. There is only ONE humanity. Help mean giving without expecting anything in return.
