Hello everyone!

I am Chris Haulmark, running for Kansas's Third Congressional District.

Thank you so much to those who began contributing to my campaign that will help tremendously over the next few weeks.

This vlog explains how contributions are made, what the rules are, and how funds can be used.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) is a regulatory oversight agency which enforces campaign finance law in federal elections, particularly candidates campaigning for public office.

The FEC has a set of rules in place to regulate how we, the candidates, are to receive and spend campaign contributions.

For instance, I am not allowed to use the campaign contributions for personal use or for outside of the campaign.

The FEC requires that campaign contributions can only be spent for specific use in my campaign activities.

There are also certain FEC requirements for whom is allowed to contribute to my campaign:

1.) The contributor must be over 18 years old;

2.) The contributor must be an U.S. citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident (green card holder);

3.) The contribution is made from your own funds, which are not being provided to me by another person or entity for that purpose.

The entity you may operate, or business you own, with its own credit card is not allowed to contribute.

I have chosen to decline contributions from Political Action Committees (PACs), demonstrating to voters, Kansans, Americans,- ALL OF US! that I am absolutely against using â€œDark Money,â€ which is the foreign untraceable money currently corrupting our American democratic electoral process;

4.) The contributor must not be a current federal contractor.

Contributors meeting those four requirements are welcomed!

The next topic to discuss is: how your contribution will be spent.

Absolutely- contributions will fund American Sign Language interpreters to escorting me when meeting with agricultural associations, teachers organizations, parent groups, unions, and many more community gatherings.

The high-quality skilled ASL interpreters will provide the best capacity for our full access, which will help me fully comprehend about what voters need and what is expected of me in voicing for them when I am sitting in Congress.

With full access, I will be working to receive input as well as transparently share how I am standing up and taking action for my constituents.

Those campaign-funded actions are what I am going to do over the next few weeks.

We want to hire many more Deaf and disabled people as campaign staff.

I have already made an offer to Wesley Arey, which he is now contemplating.

For the campaign team, a Deaf and disabled accessible environment will be established, which will demonstrate how we all can inclusively work together for all Kansas and Americans.

Specifically, the Deaf and disabled ASL-friendly inclusively accessible campaign team using ASL interpreters bridging fully accessible communications between us all.

The campaign will model how we can work on improving progress for all Americans and Kansans!
