Hello.

I am Chris Haulmark, running for Kansas's Third Congressional District.

Last weekend's unfortunate event in Virginia is horrible for what is a very unacceptable situation in Charlottesville.

What a horribly violent confrontation of white supremacy!

It's so unfortunate that some people died and were injured.

I offer sincere compassion for the victims and their families.

This was because of America's institutional racism that has been established since its founding as a new country, against which we have been fighting so hard for equity.

Itâ€™s been a constant battle with incremental progressive equitable achievements.

Now, to witness what has happened in Charlottesville!

That incident reveals how important it is that all Americans need to reflect towards better understanding, to understand and learn more about institutional racism that happened all through America's history.

Now all of our voices are being shared, coming together to discuss how to fight the institutional oppression.

This is exactly what we must do in order to be able to collectively heal by including all of our voices, because we are such a diverse society.

We must be inclusive of all!
