Hello! I am Chris Haulmark.

Everyone’s asking me the common question:

“Why are you running for Kansas's Third Congressional District?"

This question is very common and important to answer!

My answer is that: it’s about what is part of myself since I grew up as a child.

I watched how my parents fought constantly to make sure that I had great access to education.

And to be involved with sports, too.

After I was old enough to go out into the world independently, I hit barriers so many times!

The obstruction was such a constant challenge. Some barriers were successfully broken through!

Some other barriers were a struggle, to overcome, which required workarounds.

I was never alone because my struggles attracted help from others.

At the same time, I have helped other people navigate and overcome their own barriers as well.

We’ve done this as a unified group ever since.

Two years ago, I was involved with the Deaf community uplifting effort which truly grew into great numbers.

More of those Deaf people have become more involved in politics, working together and helping improve our collective lives.

I decided that I want to dedicate my skills, background, and experience to help us Kansans improve our lives- not just for the Deaf community but for all other people as well.

So, that is why I decided to step up, prepared to run.

And I believe that I will be able to pull in more participants and inspire others to help me in helping us all to successfully break through the barriers towards improving America and Kansas, too.
