Because of their bad interpretation of the Sabbath law, Pharisees accused Jesus' disciples wrongly. Jesus pointed to the story of David and his soldiers as an example that they did not break one Mosiac law when they were hungry and ate the holy bread. We need to always check with the whole of Scripture before we can interpret a passage rightly.
