Hello, everyone!
Well,l last night was the series finale of Switched At Birth. After five seasons, it's done. Wow! I have to say, I'm sorry that I couldn't join you on Twitter Live for the conversation that was that was happening during the broadcast of the episode, because I'm in Oslo, here in Norway, and I didn't have access to the show. Of course, the timing was very different, so I wasn't able to join you on Twitter Live. But, I enjoyed the comments and the discussions about the show. It really made me look back to when I first joined Switched At Birth. You know, I was an extra—a background extra—in the beginning of the show when it first started. I was fascinated the time, seeing what was happening between the crew and the cast and the administration of the show. And, how it worked together, and also what I was doing too. It was really fascinating! And, then eventually I was given the role of Matthew (as you know). And, I was really excited—and scared at the same time—to join that process. I learned so much from many people throughout the process. I remember all of them in that journey that we went through, and it was something that I had so much fun during. And, looking back on that I know that all comes together and is something I will always carry with me.
Now, it's very important for me to send out a huge thank you to all of the fans who supported the cast and crew throughout the journey, too. I know that that TV show had an impact on the world, and the way that Deaf people see … or HEARING people see Deaf culture, and that our language—our beautiful language. And, I think that hearing people will continue to send out this information and that it will reverberate. I think that when they later find out that maybe a Deaf child is born, that it is vital to teach that child ASL. And that ASL is like a seed that you plant for a child and it will lead to a good life—and great social skills—and knowledge of our Deaf culture. And that will be a strong establishment of an identity for that Deaf child. And, it also will give them a beautiful language—Right?
Well, great! I just wanted to say “thank-you†once again!
